"As a man thinks in his heart is he; what comes of the mouth, call it flow-a-tree, because he sows the seed"
-Arvetra D
Arvetra Domonic Jones is more than just an artist—he is a storyteller, visionary, and force for empowerment whose work bridges music, mentorship, and mental wellness. Hailing from Aberdeen, North Carolina, Arvetra’s creative journey began in the sacred halls of the church, where he first discovered a deep connection to music through playing drums and other instruments during worship services. That spiritual and cultural foundation would shape the tone of his voice and message for years to come.
By the age of 12, Arvetra was already penning his own lyrics, unknowingly laying the groundwork for a lifelong mission: to inspire, heal, and uplift through sound. His raw talent and intentional storytelling style reflect his experiences as a former athlete, educator, and advocate for youth development. Drawing from personal challenges and victories, his music reflects themes of resilience, transformation, and faith, resonating deeply with listeners navigating their own life journeys.
In 2019, Arvetra founded Writer’s Block Music Academy, a life skills development program designed to teach youth and young adults how to create, protect, and distribute their own musical intellectual property. Through mentorship, hands-on experience, and a focus on mental and emotional wellness, he empowers participants to not only find their artistic voice but also build confidence and purpose.
His performances are both electrifying and thought-provoking—anchored by authenticity, cultural pride, and a commitment to community uplift. Whether on stage, in a classroom, or behind the scenes mentoring emerging creatives, Arvetra continues to use his gifts to build bridges between art and advocacy.
