"There is no such thing as perfection, there are only standards. And after you have set a standard you learn that it was not high enough. You want to surpass it." --Jascha Heifetz
Arwil Ramos started learning the violin when he was thirteen years old. He studied the violin in because there was a need for violin players in their church at Malabon. He was fascinated more and more by the singing sound of the violin and the techniques of playing. While playing for the church, he also became fond of classical music and decided to take a music degree in college.
Currently, Arwil is a student at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, since 2019, taking up Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with the Emphasis on Violin. He is also a member of the UST Symphony Orchestra and a violin student of Mrs. Melchora Regina Medina-Perez. Arwil also studied the piano as a minor instrument in the program under Mr. Raul Sunico and is currently under the tutelage of Mrs. Cynthia Justina P. Yumul. While still studying, he is also working as a violin and piano teacher at the Musikgarten Manila in Ortigas and as a private violin teacher. He have also performed on recitals and concerts including in Manila Pianos as a violin teacher in the Musikgarten Manila, with the Berkley String Ensemble, and the UST Symphony Orchestra as a tutti violin.
As Rachmaninoff said, “music is enough for a lifetime - but a lifetime is not enough for music.”There is no better time to start learning music than now and Arwil will be glad to help you on that journey.
