Asante Babers
Cybersecurity Engineer in Denver, Colorado
I’m a cybersecurity engineer with over 20 years of experience working in complex environments, from enterprise systems to government and mission-critical infrastructure. Most of my career has been focused on building security systems that actually hold up in the real world—systems that are resilient, scalable, and able to adapt as threats evolve.
I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, including technology, defense, financial services, fintech, insurance, and healthcare. That exposure has helped me understand how different environments operate and where they tend to break down. A big part of what I do is helping organizations modernize legacy systems, reduce technical debt, and improve their overall security posture in a way that lasts.
Beyond my engineering work, I’m also an entrepreneur and content creator. I spend time breaking down cybersecurity concepts into practical, real-world explanations so both technical and non-technical people can understand what’s really going on. I also focus on mentoring teams and building training programs, because at the end of the day, strong systems still depend on prepared people.
