Currently a student at The George Washington University majoring in biomedical engineering, Alexis Gorin is interested in neural engineering and the electrical side of biomedical engineering, specifically neural signals. Right now, she is perfecting her MATLAB and circuit-construction skills and is trying to learn more about electrical, biomedical, and neural engineering.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, she graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School after specializing in Biomedical Science and decided she would get a degree in biomedical engineering after loving the two years in which she was required to take engineering design classes at Brooklyn Tech. She also loves that she is a female in engineering, that she is not getting a degree biomedial engineering to become a doctor, and that she has studied abroad at Korea University in Seoul, Korea.
During her spare time she likes to try almost every food imaginable (though you have to trick her into eating tripe), read IEEE magazines, catch up on (the engineer's enemy) sleep.
