Completing the StrengthQuest in survey helped see what strengths I had and what helps me strive as a student. I knew that I had many strengths that would help me in school, but this assessment showed me what strengths I have and there importance. One strength I possess is harmony, meaning that I always seek agreement and don't enjoy conflicts. I agree with this because my personality is the one where I get along with everyone and I hate being in the middle of conflicts and fights. This is a good quality because it means that I can be in any school or work setting and get along with the majority of the people there. Another strength that I find very important is focus. Focus means that I can chose a direction and follow through with the track. I am the type of person that likes to make plans and prioritize them and then act on the plans. This is beneficial in all aspects in life because it means I will focus on the important things that will help me succeed in my career and life.

Another assignment we did in survey was our curriculum plans. This was one of my favorite activities to do because it helped in planning out the classes we need to take for our major. We created a plan that mapped out what classes we could take for the next couple of semesters. Doing this was easier this time around in helping schedule classes than it was in the beginning of the school year. Choosing what classes to take is important for me to get into my major and meet all of the prerequisites.

A third assignment we did in survey was writing a paper on our lessons from a first-year buckeye. I wrote five different lessons that I learned during my first year here on campus. The one that I think was the most beneficial lesson to know was to go to office hours and get in touch with your professors. This is so important because if you are struggling the professor can help and answer any questions you have that cannot be answered in lectures that contain hundreds of people. I thought that since professors have so many students then they would not help people out individually which was wrong. All they want is for their students to succeed and will help in any way possible.
