Asheshwor Shrestha

Asheshwor is a post-graduate research student at University of Adelaide, Discipline of Geography, Environment and Population. Asheshwor's research interest is in human geography with particular focus on climate change adaptation. Currently, he is conducting field-work for his PhD research in the Tarai region of Nepal. Prior to this, he served as Planning Head at ADF Nepal Pvt. Ltd. with a goal of provide planning solutions to development projects in Nepal with particular focus on community planning, environmental sustainability and livelihood enhancement.

In 2010, Asheshwor completed Master in Urban & Regional Planning from University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. His academic works there focused on climate change adaptation, urban design and environmental policy. Born in Pokhara, Nepal, Asheshwor grew up in Kathmandu and currently lives in Adelaide, South Australia. He has a Bachelor degree in Architecture from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. He has also served as president of Rotaract club of Mt. Everest from 2006-2007.
