San Luis Obispo, California, United States
After graduating high school in the top 10% of her class, Ashlee chose to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to pursue a chemistry degree. After two years, however, she realized that lab work wasn't her passion, that travel and learning about foreign cultures was more suited to her abilities. Changing majors at the end of her second year meant Ashlee could focus more on something she enjoyed doing; human resources. Soon after, she had the opportunity to study in Copenhagen, Denmark with a host of other students who also shared a fascination with the world. It was abroad where she learned how to adapt and improvise in different environments, work to achieve set goals, and analyze company records to create solutions for determined problems.
The passion fueling her academic drive continues over into the workplace as well. From teaching piano to a summer sales internship, stringing tennis racquets to customer service, every job Ashlee has had has been used as an opportunity in which to grow and adapt. With those experiences under her belt, Ashlee’s future career goals are now to work in human resources for an international company in either training and/or recruitment.
