Ashleigh Dennis

With over 15 years of experience in education management, Ashleigh has worked with school districts across the country in both urban and rural cities and towns. After 5 years as a classroom teacher in South Carolina, Ashleigh worked as a consultant with TNTP in Memphis, TN where she helped the Memphis City/ Shelby County Schools manage the district’s recruitment and selection strategies and influenced policy to ensure highly effective teachers were hired serving over 110,000 students. As an Advisor to the Regional Superintendent of the Innovation Zone, Shelby County’s lowest-performing schools, Ashleigh operationalized the district-level talent management strategy and policies. Her work with senior district leadership helped the iZone schools reach its goal to move students from the bottom 5% to the top 25% of student achievement in three years.

Prior to founding Versa Impact Group, Ashleigh served as the Executive Director of Recruitment and Talent Management for San Antonio Independent School District where she led the district's talent acquisition efforts to support educating over 40,000 students in the heart of San Antonio. There she operationalized the development of a new talent department created to support the Superintendent’s 5-year strategic plan. In addition to her work in the education sector, Ashleigh worked with FUSE Corps to support city and county administrators across the country (LA County, CA; San Francisco, CA; Washington D.C and Durham, NC) to launch projects in the city to narrow racial, economic, and social disparities within historically underserved communities. schools,
