Powder Springs GA

I am a Psychology major at the University of Georgia and grew up in Powder Springs, GA. There I attended Hillgrove High School and was actively involved with theatre in the community as well as my school. When I'm not on the stage, or teaching children about theatre over the Summer, you could probably find me re-reading my favorite Harry Potter book, brushing up on my Disney movie knowledge, or writing Spoken Word Poetry and attempting to uncover some truth about the world to share with others. I also enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their lives and stories, especially those drastically different than my own. While in high school, aside from pursuing my love of theatre, I also participated in the Colorguard and Winterguard programs throughout High School. This experience is greatly enriching to all students who get the chance to be involved, and it taught me many lessons about leadership, hard work, as well as team work. I was also a member of many Honor Societies, one of which I served a secretary position in. My favorite movies, aside from Harry Potter and Disney, include 17 Again, Evan Almighty, Meet the Parents, and Edward Scissorhands. These movies are all funny, yet many of them, I believe, still have a very real underlying message (except Meet the Parents, which is mostly just funny). I enjoy listening to artists/bands such as Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Mumford and Sons, Maroon 5, basically any classic rock from the 70s and 80s, as well as Katy Perry. If I had to pick one thing that I live by it would probably be: "Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself. Be the change you wish to see in the world." Have a nice day! :)
