Let's start off by admitting I have an appetite for adventure. This stems from my lifelong love of sports. As a tomboy growing up I was awful curious to get my hands into everything the boys were doing. I loved fishing, biking, and climbing... to name a few. To be honest, I pride myself on my athletic abilities and my competitive spirit. I've been playing soccer at a competitive level for almost 15 years and recently discovered my knack for football. I also enjoy wakeboarding, snowboarding and snowmobiling. my curiosity and fearless approach towards life has earned me the nickname Crashley Ashley.... but don't tell anyone.
My other love in life has been acting. As a child actor, I landed my first notable role as part of Dairy Bureau of Canada's "Cheese Please" Duo Katie and Jimmy in the late 1980's. Growing up in the television and film industry, I'm no stranger to being in front of the camera. I later set my sights on theatre, graduating from Mayfield Secondary School’s Regional Arts Drama Program, participating in many school productions including an award winning Sears Festival performance. My curiosity and love of adventure coupled with my on-camera experience lead me on a path towards Journalism. I attended the University of Guelph-Humber and graduated with a degree in Media Studies and a diploma in Journalism. Shortly after graduating I burst into television once again, becoming a Sports Reporter and host of the OHL Pre and Post Game Show for several seasons on Rogers TV in Peel. Most recently, I have been honing my production skills working as a producer, social media butterfly, stylist and video editor.
