Ashley Butts

Ashley Butts is a recent law student graduate who currently serves as a Law Clerk Assistant to the Head General Counsel at Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC).
Ashley graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2002 and attended the University of Santa Clara in California. She graduated from the school in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and minors in African American Literature and Sociology.
In 2019, Ashley Butts earned her law degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. While attending law school, she was involved in a range of extracurricular activities and clubs. This included being tribune for Delta Theta Phi fraternity, president of the UWLA chapter of Black Law Students Association, serving as captain of the UWLA mock trial team. Most recently, she was appointed to the Executive Board of the National Black Law Students Association (Director of Education & Career Development).
For 5 years, Ashley worked as a paralegal and paralegal contractor, receiving mentorship at the Law Office of Peter Gray-Whiteley. Ashley currently serves as a Law Clerk Assistant to the Head General Counsel at Contemporary Services Corporation and is working to practice law in the areas of criminal law, family law and juvenile delinquency once she has passed the bar.
Outside of her law career pursuits, Ashley is an avid fitness enthusiast and a 5-time NPC figure competitor. As a professionally trained and certified personal trainer, she has served as the fitness fellowship director at Sunnyside Baptist Church in Westmont, CA for over 8 years.
Ashley uses her positive energy and motivation to provide fitness training and health education for underserved minority women participating in the Foundations’ Obesity Prevention Initiative. She also mentors youth in the Fast Camp program, a free summer camp for community members who cannot afford summer childcare.
Ashley Butts is a confident, self-starter who is efficient, organized and focused on her responsibilities as a fitness coach and her upcoming law career.
