Ashley Copp

Exeter

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2014 with a high 2:1 in Business Management and Marketing (BSc). Whilst at university I got involved in a number of extra-curricular activities. I was a student mentor to over 10 first year business students helping them settle into university life and handling any issues they may have about their course. I also enrolled onto the Cardiff Award; a scheme who's principle sponsor is Ernest and Young that aims to recognise students that undertake a significant number of hours of defined extra-curricular activities. I was awarded the highest graded pass, a level 3, for my efforts, demonstrating I went above and beyond what was expected.

I look to bring entrepreneurial flair and innovative thinking to my work as was also recognised in my time at university. I was key member of Cardiff University's team that reached the semi-finals of National Student Apprentice, also winning the Trinity Mirror Innovation Challenge, then reaching the final five for the Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards before reaching the finals of Cardiff Universities Spark Ideas Challenge. On the back of success from these competitions, I co-founded Incepto Media Ltd. with the aim of reshaping children's education and news consumption. For more information about this, please get in touch. This success, drive and entrepreneurial-ism was recognised by Cardiff University as the Vice Chancellor invited us to speak at the Fast Forward Innovation Festival, a one-day event showcasing Cardiff University’s innovative, cutting-edge research, partnerships and student enterprise.

In my spare time I enjoy trying out new things, experiencing new cultures, playing sports or relaxing with friends. Follow me on Twitter to find out more about what I get up to.
