My name is Ashley Frederickson and I am the founder and writer for The Power of One Girl; a community and blog meant to empower girls to have a strong self esteem by coming unto Christ. I am currently attending the University of Utah studying journalism and positive psychology. I am the director of the Miss Murray's Outstanding Pageant as well as a journalist for a local YouTube channel.

I created The Power of One Girl after competing in pageants. I was caught in the comparison trap and thought I had to be like everyone else tosucceed and be happy. It wasn't until I really got to know my Savior on a deeper level that I felt comfortable embracing myself for who I was. I now want to empower every single girl to come unto Christ. It isChrist that wants us to draw down the powers of Heaven as we come unto Him to be strong physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, mentally, and through serving others.
