Ashley Pan
Student, Volunteer, and Photographer in Arcadia, CA
As a freshman at Arcadia High School, I am currently taking the most rigorous courses available to me. Why am I so extra? I believe that hard work and dedication is the key to success.
I am an avid supporter of teenagers being more involved, and less apathetic, towards politics so I decided to join Young Democrats at the very start of my freshman year. And as of April, 2019, I became the treasurer of this club despite it being my first year.
I am a volunteen in my local teen volunteering organization, Arcadia Recreation, and I take on any possible shifts during my free time. I've put in over 300 hours in the past two years and I look forward to continue serving my community.
Inspired by time at Arcadia Recreation, one of my biggest goals before heading off to college is to complete a humanitarian service project overseas. Not only do I like helping out wherever I can, but I also like exploring new areas and experiencing new situations. I believe something like this will push me to do good in the world as I pursue my future interests.
I've also taken a liking to business, which influenced me to join FBLA, a competition driven club at my school. Regardless of it being my first time joining and participating, I was able to place 8th in my main event and went on to compete at state.
I'm an amateur photographer and beginner in badminton. If I want to stray from academics or find a healthy distraction, you will find me doing either one of these activities.
