I grew up in Pasadena, Texas, which is a suburb of the bustling city of Houston. As a youth, I was heavily involved in FFA and barrel raced until college.
I enrolled in college at San Jacinto Community College where i was an active member of the College Republicans and the Student Government Treasurer. I graduated from San Jacinto Community College with a A.A. in Business Administration in the fall of 2009.
I finished out my Undergraduate career at University of Houston-Clear Lake. I was very active in leadership and campus activities. I was the President of The Management Association (TMA) for 3 semesters, inducted as a lifetime member of The National Society for Leadership and Success (NSLS), New Student Orientation Leader, member of the History Club, active voting member of Student Government, and volunteered at multiple leadership conferences held at the University. in the fall of 2010, I graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake with a B.S. in Public Service Leadership with a certificate of Leadership and a certificate of Conflict & Mediation. I was also chosen to give the benediction on my graduation day.
During college I served as the Associate Director Apprentice at Aurora Picture Show in Houston. Upon graduation, I was hired as a temp front desk receptionist at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
When my time ended at the Houston Rodeo, I moved to Austin. Shortly after moving , I was hired as an Administrative Assistant at Texas Financial Group, part of the well established and highly reputable, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. After a very rewarding and successful year at Northwestern Mutual, I was accepted to Montana State University in Bozeman.
In the spring of 2014, I graduated with a Masters of Science in Agricultural Education, specializing in Extension Education, program development, and leadership development.
Currently, I work for the LSU AgCenter at the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center in Pollock, LA. I serve as the Camp Coordinator and Program Coordinator for the new Youth Outdoor Education program.
