Ashley Welch

Hello! My name's Ashley and I'm a freelance writer/editor based in New York City with a passion for nutrition, wellness, and sweating after a good workout. My latest role was in the digital health space at EverydayHealth.com where I reported and wrote for the subsite Health Matters With Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

I've covered a wide range of topics, including body image and eating disorders, domestic violence, cancer research, bullying and emotional health, and healthy eating. Before that, I spent the majority of my days tweeting with experts on Everyday Health's #HealthTalk Twitter chat series.

In addition to health reporting, I'm a trained news journalist with an MA from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. I've written and blogged for both local and national news organizations, including NBC, Newsday, and New York Daily News. I have a passion for finding out facts and believe in the power of good storytelling.
