I was raised in Johnson City, Tennessee and graduated from Science Hill High School in 2007. I currently live in Nashville, Tennessee with my 2 dogs (min pin and rat terrier/doxie mix). In 2011, I received my B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Music Business from Belmont University. My background is in technology and working as a social media assistant in the music industry. Throughout those experiences, I taught singers, songwriters, and managers a range of skills using technology from basics (i.e. making a PowerPoint) to more complicated tasks like website maintenance. It was through those experiences that I discovered I wanted to pursue my Masters in Instructional Design. Currently I attend Purdue University’s online and I’m pursuing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Learning Design and Technology (MS.Ed.). While in the program I have become especially interested in performance improvement, designing job aids and models, and defining the performance gaps within businesses and customizing plans to close the gaps (i.e. create a job aid, seek additional training, etc.).
A random fact about me is that I have traveled to almost every state in the U.S. and been to Alaska. I’ve also traveled throughout England and Belgium, to parts of Germany, Paris, Amsterdam, and to Rome, Florence, and Venice in Italy. My next trip over seas will hopefully be to the Greek Isles!
