Personal Mission Statement
Social work has always been very personal for me since I was adopted at the age of 8 years old and went through the foster caresystem for about 3 and a half years. My social worker was my father figure formuch of this timeframe and influenced how I thought of social workers as wellas showed me time and time again how important his job was. He also provided mewith all of the opportunities I have today. I would not be where I am todaywithout his guidance and ability to find a home for me that is perfect. I amfollowing in his path to become a social worker and influence children inpositive ways as he did for me. Becoming a positive influence and helpingothers is the core of who I am and what I want to do with my life.
