"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18. These are words that I live by. I got pregnant when I was 18 and it brought me to Christ. Since then, I've come a long way and I thank Him each and every night for my daughter Olivia. I made the choice to leave her dad and he is not and has never been a part of her life. However, I went on to receive two Associates Degrees from Wake Technical Community College: Early Childhood Education and Criminal Justice. After completing all but four of my EDU classes I decided that what I really want is to be a lawyer. So, upon completing my Associates in Criminal Justice, I transferred to NCCU. I will be completing my Bachelors via distance education and could not be happier. I intern at the Guardian Ad Litem office and will enjoy going to court occassionally to observe hearings and proceedings. I also like to help my brother with his classes of forensic science and law and justice. I could never know enough. I enjoy reading John Grisham and James Patterson novels which involve two different aspects of criminal justice. My daughter, Olivia, is four and is my motivation for everything that I do.
