Asia Johnson
Aspiring Physical Therapist and Communications Professional in Atlanta, GA
My name is Asia Johnson, and I’m a driven professional with a passion for health, wellness, and communication. I’m originally from Suffolk, Virginia, but currently reside in Atlanta, GA where I am a student earning my B.A. in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Public Relations at Clark Atlanta University, with a 3.74 GPA.
Currently, I work as a Clinic Assistant at Flex Physical Therapy ATL in Atlanta, Georgia, where I support patient care, prepare treatment areas, and assist with exercises that help patients regain strength and confidence. My experience in the clinic has deepened my desire to pursue a career as aphysical therapist, where I can continue helping others improve their mobility and overall quality of life.
Before entering the clinical field, I gained valuable experience in communication, organization, and leadership through my roles with the Public Relations Student Society of America, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the CAU Sports and Entertainment Management Association. As a Clark Atlanta University cheerleader, I also learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and motivation skills that carry over into every part of my professional life.
I’m passionate about combining my communication background with my love for physical therapy to create meaningful connections with patients and provide care that’s both effective and empathetic. My long-term goal is to become a licensed physical therapist and continue growing as a healthcare professional who makes a positive impact on every patient I meet.
