My story has been a miracle and blessing from God ever since the very beginning. When I was less than a day old, my birth mother left me on the steps of a police station in Nanjing, China. From there I was taken to the local orphanage where I would spend the next seven months of my life. When I was seven months old, my mom came to adopt me and took me back to America. She married my dad when I was four years old and not long after we moved to what felt like the middle of nowhere. My dad worked a little over an hour away, so a lot of the time it was just me and my mom. My mom played a huge role in my upbringing, especially when it came to my faith in Christ. She was always teaching me about Him and His power and it was pretty evident in my life when I look at where He brought me from. Halfway through my freshman year of high school, we moved closer to the local city and I began attending public school my sophomore year of high school. Senior year rolled around and I thought that I knew exactly where I wanted to go to college, but God had other plans for me. I was in a horrible accident which messed up my spine and I was required to go to a different college. One that was closer to a back specialist. I was pretty angry with God at that time, but as I got further into college He revealed to me that this was where He wanted me to be. If I had not gone to that school, I would not have met my best friend. My life completely changed because of one bad accident, but God was orchestrating the entire thing and my life completely changed because of it. Now, I am a junior in college, leader of CRU (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ), a worker at Panda Express, and a Mass Communications Major. I live in Colorado, a beautiful (and cold) state with plans to serve as a long term missionary in East Asia. God is to this day continually orchestrating everything in my life, and I cannot wait to see what else He has in store for me.
