Asib Mahmud is a technology entrepreneur, systems architect, and digital strategist with over 15 years of experience in developing data-driven solutions. He is the Founder and CEO of SignalSpan Technologies, a Seattle-based SaaS company known for revolutionizing fleet data analytics, cloud infrastructure, and edge computing. Asib's leadership has positioned his company as a key player in logistics, providing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Blending technical expertise with a strategic business approach, Asib leads teams working on projects in logistics optimization, supply chain automation, and connected devices. His career spans software engineering, enterprise architecture, and executive leadership, all driven by his commitment to using technology to solve complex real-world problems with simplicity and effectiveness.

Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Asib displayed an early interest in coding and mechanics. He won multiple awards in high school for his robotics and machine learning projects and graduated at the top of his class from Jesuit High School in 2003. He continued his education at Stanford University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2007, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. Asib also interned at Oracle, working on a mobile wallet system designed for cross-border payments. Later, he earned a Master of Engineering in Systems Design & Leadership from MIT in 2012, focusing on cloud integration and real-time data processing.

Asib’s career began at Cisco Systems, where he worked as a Software Engineer, contributing to network security applications. He then joined SkyCore Analytics in Seattle, where he helped the company grow and launched its first commercial SaaS platform. In 2015, Asib founded ArcRail Systems, a startup focused on real-time tracking and fuel optimization for rail systems. The company was successfully acquired by GridNet Logistics in 2020.

In 2020, Asib founded SignalSpan Technologies with a vision to integrate IoT-enabled fleet devices with AI-powered analytics. Under his leadership, SignalSpan has secured $25M in venture capital and expanded to over 60 employees. The company’s platform, SpanOS, is now used in more than 2,000 connected vehicles across North America, providing clients with real-time insights into vehicle performance and route efficiency.
