Association of Filipinos in Serbia

The Association of Filipinos in Serbia (Asocijacija Filipinaca Srbije)is a non-partisan, non-governmental, non-profit, and voluntary organization established to empower Filipinos and promote Filipino culture and language.

The Association aims to:

• Connect, develop, and deepen ties with the Filipinos in Serbia
• Promote the welfare and well-being of Filipinos in Serbia.
• Preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Filipinos.
• Promote and support Filipino-owned businesses and projects
• Promote solidarity and better relations between Filipinos in Serbia and their communities of residence

To realize the goals, the Association will engage in the following activities:

• Provide updated information about events and matters concerning Filipinos, and about legalities and procedures covering their residence, employment, business, etc.
• Provide assistance in exercising the legal rights of Filipinos in the Philippines and in Serbia, within the limits of the Association’s capabilities.
• Organize seminars, lectures, workshops, training, and trips for the professional and personal development and welfare of members.
• Organize seminars, lectures, workshops, training, trips, and fairs for the promotion of Filipino culture and language
• Participate in seminars, lectures, workshops, trips, and fairs organized by other institutions, associations, or businesses in the country and abroad.
• Provide opportunities for Filipinos and other interested parties to meet and promote friendship and good fellowship
• Recognize Filipino excellence and valuable contribution to the community and Association, to the promotion of culture, etc by giving awards in the form of commendations and/or diplomas, and other awards decided by the Assembly
• Cooperate with other institutions, agencies, non-government associations, businesses, and individuals who can help achieve the goals of the Association.

Membership is open to all Filipinos, of any age, who acquired their citizenship by birth or by naturalization, as well as former Filipinos, who are legal residents, whether temporarily or permanently, of the Republic of Serbia.

The Association shall not discriminate on the basis of socio-economic status, education, religion, political affiliation, and other factors.
