Anthony Saint James

New York

Since 1994 Anthony’s striking work has appeared in the pages of countless publications including GQ, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, ESPN, as well as others around the world. Corporate companies include VH1, AOL, Johnson & Johnson, Columbia Records, Sony, Rounder Records, ANTI-, and TBWA Chiat Day. Anthony has lectured about his photography. His work has been shown in several group shows, and he has recently had a gallery exhibition of his work in London’s Brick Lane “East Gallery”. His particular areas of interest include people, places, and objects. Although fascinated by the gadgetry of cameras at a young age, Anthony’s passion for photography was ingrained in him after his father’s sudden death when he was just eleven years old. Having been a fashion designer, his father’s influence deepened Anthony’s verve for the camera, transforming interest in its mechanisms into a drive to create artful imagery. He also quickly came to realize the impact photographs can have, as well as their power to preserve. Since his beginnings, Anthony has become an award-winning freelance photographer. His love of photography, and cinematography, is sustained by the particular artistic expression he sees as unique to this medium, the chance to experience the world it has given him, and, most recently, the best way of preserving memories of his own son, Cosmo.
