Alexandra was born in Athens and currently lives there. After having received English-speaking schooling in Greece she went to Brown University, RI to receive a Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in Hispanic Studies. This was followed by a two year professional cooking school in San Sebastian at Escuela de Cocina de Luis Irizar. After various jobs in kitchens of varying genres as well as several experiences working front of house, Alexandra worked as the editor in chief of Gourmed, an online Mediterranean food portal. She then decided to write and self-publish her own cookbook. She ran a successful Kickstarter campaign and in December of 2013 Cooking to Share, a book honouring Greek food, family tradition and life, was published. She currently does catering for private events, distrubutes her cookbook and is becoming a teacher in The Feldenkrais Method, a somatic educational system aimed at increasing one's awareness of movement in order to realize a greater sense of well-being.
