Astrid Kapank

I am Astrid Kapank. I’m a fourth-year student at the University of Johannesburg and majoring in English and S Role ICT Support. I am originally from the Western Cape not far from Cape Town. Many people ask me why I study at UJ even though it is so far from home, but I always give them the same answer which is that “I study at UJ because I wanted to explore and be more independent”. I have always been the type of person to never be afraid to try new things, which made me strong and confident as a person. Additionally, having this trait helped me adapt much faster in new environments and engaging with new and different people. The things I am most interested in are playing volleyball, reading, and also receiving the best education I can get.
