Astrid is an editor currently living in Hamburg, Germany, with a passion for user centered news innovation and diversity and inclusion in newsrooms.

For the last ten years, Astrid has been writing about the tech industry. She started her career at the Financial Times Deutschland and was tech editor for manager magazin, Germany's premium business magazine.

In 2015 Astrid was awarded a John S Knight Journalism Fellowship 15-16 at Stanford. In the heart of Silicon Valley Astrid explored ways how to increase innovation in newsrooms. At the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford (dschool) Astrid learned how to apply the human-centered approach to design creative organizations and bring about cultural change.

Astrid is the co-founder of Dverse Media, a non-profit, that aims to spur inclusion, creativity and innovation in German newsrooms.
