My mother was passionate about music and dreamed of becoming a classically trained singer, but her parents disapproved. Instead, she served the church as a choral conductor. My mom became my first music teacher. Because of it, choral singing has become a massive part of my life as a musician. I was active in different music organizations in the school, such as the Federations of Choirs and Musicians. I also auditioned in the Philippine Highschool for the Arts but didn't pass.

Nevertheless, I continued to get as much musical experience as possible by actively participating in performances and competitions. I knew all of these were essential to my growth as a musician. Whether they are positive or negative experiences, they are learning experiences. Admittedly, I wasn't good at singing the first time around. No one told me I had an 'innate' talent for singing. My relentless pursuit of doing better and unceasing support from my peers created an environment for me to grow. I owe to the circumstances and the opportunities given to me that made me who I am today.

I still considered other career paths by the time I was in senior high school before I decided to pursue music. I auditioned and passed at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) with my mother's support. Presently, I am a fourth-year music student majoring in Voice Performance under the tutelage of Asst. Prof. Thea P. Prosia. I have been a consistent Dean's Lister since my first year. I am also a Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) scholar and Vice President of the Conservatory of Music Student Council. I continued to be active in choral singing as a member of the Liturgikon Vocal Ensemble.

Music can bring people together, like in choral or any ensemble performance. It is one of the things that I love most about music, and it is what I envisioned as in my business—a business with a product that could bring fellow musicians and music enthusiasts together. SUKAT apparel is unlike any other fashion brand because it celebrates the beauty of music and represents the ones who perform it. SUKAT apparel aims to influence a new generation of Filipinos who will show a more profound appreciation of the arts, most especially music.
