Honored as one of New Jersey’s Top Doctors by New Jersey Monthly Magazine for the past three consecutive years, Dr. Atul Prakash currently serves as Director of Cardiac Arrhythmia Specialists in Clifton, New Jersey. In this role, Dr. Atul Prakash applies more than 20 years of experience in the fields of cardiology and electrophysiology. Dr. Atul Prakash also provides his insight as Chief of the Cardiology Division at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey, and holds teaching appointments at a number of institutions, including the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey and Seton Hall University.
The author of more than 150 publications, Dr. Atul Prakash has earned international recognition for his efforts and regularly lectures in Barcelona, Spain; New Delhi, India; San Francisco, California; Nice, France; and Las Vegas, Nevada. A dedicated scholar, Dr. Atul Prakash completed extensive studies in his field prior to pursuing a multifaceted career.
Prior to his professional endeavors, Dr. Atul Prakash studied at S.N. Medical College in Agra, India. Dr. Atul Prakash earned a gold medal in pharmacology, as well as honors in biochemistry, physiology, ophthalmology, and surgery. His success propelled him to further his education at Agra University, where he obtained a doctorate in internal medicine. In the subsequent years, Dr. Atul Prakash served in a variety of positions, including Senior Resident at Batra Hospital and Research Center; Senior House Officer with West Hill Hospital in Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom; and Clinical Fellow with Passaic General Hospital in Passaic and Newark, New Jersey. Today, Dr. Atul Prakash dedicates his energies toward research concerning a number of cardiologic concerns, including atrial fibrillation, a form of irregular heartbeat, and syncope, which involves a sudden change in circulation.
