I'm Aubree Hughes and I am a public relations undergraduate and media relations director for a student-run PR agency that I helped create at Oklahoma Christian University. I serve as the President of OC’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. I am a freelance writer for Edmond Life & Leisure, a NewsOK Contributor and previously worked as a sports journalist for OC’s newspaper, The Talon. I spent the summer working at Jones PR, one of Oklahoma's top agencies.

In 2015, I was selected among the state's top college students to attend the Oklahoma Summer Policy Institute. I also handled different aspects of public relations and communications interning with Congressman Tom Cole in his Norman office. I stay up-to-date on current events serving on Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s Student Leadership Council. I recently became a team member of the debate club, OC Forensic Empire

I'm passionate about volunteering and standing with those whose voice isn't heard. I've done media relations work for the Student Veterans of America, and I work with my uncle in his nation-wide anti-bullying campaign, Stand for the Silent. I have also done creative media production for a pet adoption awareness campaign in my hometown.

As president of OC’s PRSSA chapter, I oversee all meetings, conferences and competitions. I enjoy spending time with the members and getting to know my PR family and build stronger relationships in the communications department at OC.

Politics are an important issue. I exercise my sovereignty by partaking in gubernatorial campaigns and other volunteer services during the election season.

I am a member of OC’s Track and Cross Country team that was recognized by the Heartland Conference for top student-athlete GPA. The Heartland Conference listed me as one of thirteen OC student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA.
