I am a senior at Clark High School. I am enrolled in all AP classes and maintain a stellar GPA. I am a National Merit Scholar Finalist and received the Harvard Book Award. These things are important to me, but I am really so much more. I am involved in a plethora of clubs and extracurricular activities, and use the rest of my time working or pursuing some of my many hobbies.
I am heavily involved in a competitive robotics team (Go Screaming Chickens!). We build refrigerator-sized robots that compete against others in competitions such as capture the flag, basketball, frisbee, or wall climbing. I also volunteer with Kinetic Kids, teaching swim classes for children with disabilities. I hope that in college I will be able to combine these 2 unrelated passions and find something that is perfect for me.
I have a love of music, and listen to a very eclectic mix of genres. I enjoy singing, and playing guitar, ukulele, piano, trombone, and harmonica. I taught myself to play most of them, and appreciate the challenge that each new one brings. I also like to hang out with my friends, and my favorite way to do so is by playing video games together. We are all quite competitive, and it is a very fun way to compete and have fun at the same time.
I am happiest when I challenge myself, and it shows through the way I live my life. I don't spend too much time doing things that I don't find difficult, and it's made me who I am today. If ever let ourselves take the easy way out, we will never live up to our full potential.
