Meet Audie Wood

Hello everyone! My name is Audie Wood, and I’m a longtime educator, mentor, and advocate for mental health and student success.

Coming from a working-class background, I understand how important it is to have someone in your corner—someone who believes in you when you may not believe in yourself. Throughout my life, mentors have played a tremendous role in helping me become the person I am today. They challenged me, encouraged me, and helped me see possibilities that I sometimes couldn’t see for myself.

I want to do the same for others.

My journey hasn’t been perfect. I’ve experienced my share of wins, losses, setbacks, insecurities, and self-doubt. I’ve also had to overcome many challenges related to mental health. Those experiences have shaped the way I work with students, parents, and families. I believe our struggles can teach us something, and sometimes the experiences that hurt us the most can become the experiences that allow us to help someone else.

One of the things I love most is talking with students and parents about the importance of asking for help, building meaningful relationships, and creating a strong support system. We aren't meant to navigate life alone. Whether you need a mentor, a friend, a teacher, a counselor, or simply someone willing to listen, having people around you who genuinely care can make all the difference.

I want to use both my successes and my failures to encourage others to keep moving forward, believe in themselves, and understand that asking for help isn't a sign of weakness—it’s often one of the strongest things we can do.

We are only as strong as our support system, and I’m passionate about helping people build one.
