Audrey Johnston

Northern Ireland

Hello and welcome! I have been an antiques dealer since 1999, in a part-rime capacity until 2010 when I took early retirement from my career in the medical profession after 27 happy and rewarding years. Between 1999 and 2010 I sold at antiques fairs all over Northern Ireland and sometimes in mainland UK, as well as online via my own website and also ebay.co.uk.

After early retirement I had more time to devote to my beloved antiques so in April 2011 Braid Antiques opened it's doors in Broughshane in County Antrim. I still stand at antiques fairs in various parts of the UK and Ireland, I still sell on ebay as audreyjohnstonantiques and my website is now www.braid-antiques.co.uk. I also organise occasional antiques fairs for various charities or deserving causes which I'm happy to support as I believe only someone with insider knowledge of the antiques trade can do the job properly.

My main areas of expertise have been in antique porcelain, glass, silver and jewellery but since opening Braid Antiques I have been learning rapidly about antique furniture, clocks and fine art.

My great passion is the "green" aspect of the antiques business and I delight in encouraging my customers to be environmentally friendly while at the same time purchasing true quality and value.

I also enjoy helping people who are downsizing or dispersing inherited items to find new homes for their treasures, at the same time realising their current value. My other great pleasure is in sourcing particularly elusive items for my clients.

I pride in treating my customers, whether buyers or sellers, as I would wish to be treated. If you think I could be of service to you please contact me at Braid Antiques or online.
