Kelvin Kong
literary agent and rights manager in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I used to sell high end kitchenware to people who had the money or desire to buy such things. Now, I sell translation rights to publishers who have the money and desire to buy such things. In between that, I've worked in print production, book editorial, social media engagement, and project management. They creep up now, too, from time to time.
I teach some publishing courses at Ryerson University. I'm also the co-chair of the Canadian Book Professionals' Association - we organize professional networking events, and the annual BookCamp Toronto. I'd love to see you there.
Things I do that don't pay the bills (but totally don't mind if they did): eating and drinking, making food and drink (cocktails and wine), going for long bike rides, reading books (natch), and oh, video games.
