Augustus Jaja

Augustus Jaja possesses four degrees in his field and nearly three decades of relevant experience. A laboratory veteran, Jaja remains committed to expanding his academic horizons and is currently studying for his Ph.D. in Public Health. At present, Augustus Jaja acts as a Chemist with the City of Edmond, Oklahoma, a position he has held for 10 years. Through his work with the City of Edmond's Water Resources, Augustus Jaja holds oversight for the important task of ensuring the health of the city's populace by analyzing water, wastewater, and sludge. Beyond conducting analyses, Augustus Jaja fulfills other duties, including adopting quality assurance measures, training of laboratory technicians, providing technical assistance to workers, and determining the accuracy of laboratory results. Augustus Jaja began his career as a chemist and laboratory technician in 1982. For 12 years, he served as a Quality Control Specialist and Laboratory Technician with International Crystal Manufacturing Co, Inc. He later gained employment as a Laboratory Technician at Rose State College and US Filter Corporation before working at Perfection Industries as the Environmental Safety and Laboratory Manager. Jaja continued his management duties at Ace Metal Finishing of Oklahoma, Inc., where he served as President and Safety and Laboratory Manager. In the same year he accepted his position with the City of Edmond, he also became President and Chief Executive Officer of Tendercare Corporation. Beyond his work experience, Augustus Jaja has continued his professional development by gaining certifications in water and wastewater operations. In addition, he holds degrees in environmental technology, chemistry, and health science, and he has earned a Master of Business Administration. Jaja maintains affiliation with a variety of professional organizations, including American Public Health Association (APHA), National Ground Water Association (NGWA), American Water Works Association (AWWA), American Chemical Society (ACS), and American Public Works Association (APWA).
