Auralis Herrero-Lugo
Educator, Consultant, and Designer in Puerto Rico
I am a consultant, designer, and educator specializing in circular manufacturing, sustainable product development, and ethical fashion. With 15+ years of experience, I help businesses integrate circularity, automation, and fair trade practices to drive profitability and impact.
I’ve launched sustainable resort wear brands featured in CNN and Glamour and founded Retazo, Puerto Rico’s first circular fashion platform. At Bluewater Defense (2018–2024), I led commercial expansion, pioneering robotic sewing, new product development, and sustainable supply chain strategies.
As an educator, I’ve lectured at FIT and Parsons, teaching the 7 Stages of the Circular Product Life Cycle®, a framework for extending product longevity and reducing waste.
Through my consultancy, I support brands, factories, and artisans in ethical sourcing, workforce training, and circular business strategies. Let’s build a future where sustainability and success go hand in hand.
