Aurelis Gomez
Student in Puerto Rico
Hello, I’m Aurelis Gómez Montesquieu and I am in my second year of college. I am a part of the English Department, elementary level. I was born on October 31, 2000 in New Jersey but I have lived in San Lorenzo my whole life. I consider myself very shy but once I feel comfortable, I start to socialize more with my classmates. I am very openminded and always down for a good conversation.
My ikigai is to teach. I realized that the words I used the most in my ikigai analysis are “teaching” and “helping”. Although I already knew this, it was fun to notice that being an English teacher is what I truly want in life. My purpose is to teach young students and help them become better people. I want to be the teacher that builds them into future professionals with good knowledge of the English language and great manners. This semester I want to learn more about what I already know with the help of my language mentor. I want to do better in anything that I need help with and grow as a future English teacher. It is important for me to do better each time because I want to have all the knowledge I need to become a teacher.
