Teacher in Melbourne, Australia
Seeking a position in innovation and digital leadership.
I began my career in medical research at the Baker Medical Research Institute and before that as an honours student in the labs of the Victorian College of Pharmacy in Melbourne. My approach to education has been significantly informed by employment in these technology rich spaces of learning and discovery,; where every day was underpinned by a sense of exploration, learning and relearning.
I also managed an import export business for a while and therefore learnt the power of global collaboration.
Anyhow, I entered the education sector and now have gained considerable and varied teaching experience. I have been employed in a number of different educational settings, including a stint in the museum environment as an education officer.
My place has been in the classroom building relationships with my students. I now find myself teaching right across the curriculum - on an all boys, dedicated Year 9 campus. This has been an invigorating and very rewarding experience.
My personal interests range from photography to fitness, astronomy, and technology.
With strong professional interests in thinking pedagogies, that are suitable for digital learning environments, I have just completed a Master of Education in Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation through Charles Sturt University.
I have also taken on an eLearning leadership position in my School.
