Houston, Texas native, current Utah transplant - Graduated with an M.Ed. in Secondary Education: Instrumental Music in the Peabody College of Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University and a D.M.A. in Musical Arts in Instrumental Conducting at the University of Utah.

Currently Director of Bands and Percussion at Hillcrest High School in Canyons School District.

My career goals include advocating for and working with students to absolutely maximize their potential and help them reach for goals they didn't think possible, in groups and as individuals. My career history has been marked with work in diverse school settings and in piloting/restoring performing arts programs and ensembles in communities that deserve great artistic experiences.

I enjoy good coffee, Texas Hill Country, the San Juan Mountains, South Padre Island, Nashville, New England (especially Maine), the quiet of the Utah desert, dogs, performing, arranging and composing Jazz, Rock, Pop and Art Music, photography, espresso, marching band, University of Texas and Vanderbilt Football, and making music with kids!

In my spare time, I aspire to be some combination of Charles Ives, Henry Rollins, and Kurt Vonnegut.
