Austin Hilla

Houston, Texas native - Graduated with an M.Ed. in Secondary Education: Instrumental Music in the Peabody College of Education and Human Development at Vanderbilt University.

The Band and Choir Director of Grace School from August of 2012 to the Present. My career goals include working in a Wind Band setting in a Middle or High School, with an open mind towards a variety of student bodies and curricular structures.

I enjoy good coffee, Texas Hill Country, South Padre Island, Nashville, New England (especially Maine), experiencing new cultures, dogs, performing, arranging and composing Jazz, Rock, Pop and Art Music, photography, trying new foods, marching band, University of Texas and Vanderbilt Football, and making music with kids! In my spare time, I aspire to be some combination of Charles Ives, Henry Rollins, and Kurt Vonnegut.
