Hailing from God’s gift to the United States — Chattanooga, TN — Austin Sawyer received his first guitar at age 9, and wrote his first song at age 9 and 4 minutes. Drawing inspiration from Americana mainstays such as The Avett Brothers and The Head and the Heart, Sawyer blends elements of heart-on-his-sleeve writing with heavier riffs and overdrive pedals. Sawyer's signature sound was captured by his band Drumming Bird, on their February 2019 debut album, Great Smoky Love. This offering displays Sawyer’s ability to navigate Americana, Indie Rock, and Singer-Songwriter circles.
