I am a Texan by birth, but a world traveler by ambition. I started my obsession with travel after spending a summer doing conservation work in England. I have since lived in China for almost 5 years studying Chinese and receiving a MSc in Environmental Management from Tongji University in Shanghai. I then interned at the United Nations Environmental Programme at their headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, for 6 months. I have traveled to many other places briefly as well, including Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico, and numerous islands in the Caribbean. Another obsession of mine is apparently being in school since I am currently doing my second Masters in the field of Public Affairs. I shall also be starting a third Masters when I move to Amsterdam in the Fall to do a Fellowship at VU University in the area of Environment and Resource Management. In my spare time I like to read everything from colonial era philosophy to modern novels. I especially enjoy Shakespearean dramas. I am also an avid Disney fan having worked for the company for several years. I am proud to say that I achieved my goal of having visited every Disney theme park on the planet. I hope to go back to work for them someday, but for now I am enjoying the spontaneity of living abroad and seeing the world. Who knows if I will settle down someday or where that may happen, but for now I like not knowing what lies ahead.
