Ava Balfour is a Denver, Colorado resident who has a passion for volunteering and helping others. In addition to volunteering at senior living complexes, Ava Balfour supports organizations, such as Special Olympics and Rotary International as well as Colorado-based nonprofits like Food Bank of the Rockies and Dumb Friends League, an animal shelter that provides foster and veterinary care for upwards of 20,000 abandoned pets per year.

While studying criminology and sociology at the University of Denver, Ava Balfour supported the nonprofit Service for Sight through her affiliation with the Delta Gamma fraternity. In the past, she has been honored for cystic fibrosis fund-raising as well as her volunteer efforts at the Las Madrindas Debutante Ball in support of the Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Ms. Balfour is expanding upon her education credentials by pursuing a degree in business. When she isn't attending classes or studying, she enjoys athletic endeavors such as skiing and snowboarding, tennis, swimming, and golf.
