Alex van Praag

I am a value chain consultant in agriculture sector. I am a trained environment scientist with a Masters in Applied Marine Science and have a keen interest for promoting practical solutions to improve the protection of our natural resources whilst uplifting and informing the communities that depend on them. I have lived and studied in Europe, Africa and have worked in Botswana, South Africa Kenya and Tanzania gathering experience within areas such as environmental consulting for Illegal Fishing, E-commerce and start-ups tackling issues around environmental degradation, and social upliftment in agriculture. This journey has allowed me to develop a diverse network within the agriculture development space with a particular focus for entrepreneurial innovation that improves small holder farmer livelihoods, enhances value chain efficiencies and strengthens environmental protection.
