Hi, I’m Avery. I’ve been a teacher for a year and a half in Ottawa, Ontario but moving to Beijing, China in the summer of 2024.

As a dedicated teacher holding a Master's degree in Teaching, my educational philosophy revolves around fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. I place a profound emphasis on inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to ask questions, explore concepts, and develop critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom. Moreover, I am committed to employing culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy, tailoring my teaching approach to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of my learners.
