(Formely Star News) ABP News Network (ANN) has promoted Avinash Pandey as the chief executive officer (CEO) effective from 2nd January 2019.

Avinash Pandey has been with the group since 2005, guiding the growth of advertising revenue and playing a key role in the expansion of the network's reach over the past decade. As COO of ABP News, he steered the transformation from Star News to ABP News in 2012, along with the rebranding and repositioning in 2017.

An HBS graduate & post graduate in History, Avinash has over two decades of experience in news media, advertising, sales, distribution, marketing, and content creation. He was also felicitated as the ‘Business Leader Of the year’ award at the 9 BCS Ratna Award.

In addition, Mr. Avinash Pandey has worked with some leading channels on a leadership role and is a well-known voice of the advertising and broadcasting industry of India. He has been a member of Credit Control in Indian Broadcasting Federationfor the past 15 years. He is on the board of some of the reputed apex industry bodies such as News Broadcasters Association(NBA) and Indian Broadcasting Federation (IBF).
