Product Marketing, Student, and Volunteer in Washington, DC
Hi there, my name is Amy.
I am a part of the Digital Commerce team at Capital One, where I previously led product marketing for the Capital One Wallet mobile app and now focus on the engagement roadmap. What I do is a blend of product management, analytics, and marketing. Outside of thinking about product features, engagement, and marketing strategy, I enjoy communications, education, and entrepreneurship (my next startup will be a robot to walk my dogs). I have held various marketing communications roles within non-profit education, finance/investment management, and tech (startups). Areas I find particularly interesting in this realm include storytelling, brand management, and public relations; it is all about preserving and building that brand equity in the minds of consumers.
I graduated from Northwestern University, Medill with a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications and from my class at the University of California, Berkeley as the only quadruple major, with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Economics and Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies, Political Economy, and Sociology. In addition to completing 10 courses at the Haas School of Business during my time at Cal, I explored a variety of other subjects, such as Shakespeare, astronomy, physics, and archeology. I enjoy learning a lot – and that definitely extends beyond just academia!
Complementary to my professional endeavors, I like to volunteer with organizations that address issues of civil rights, gender, income, and education inequality.
