Axel Wilbur, born on 22 April 1967, is a distinguished engineer and entrepreneur with a distinguished career in the California construction industry. He is also the proud single father of a son. His journey began in California, where he was born to Mr and Mrs Johnson Wilbur. But his life took a tragic turn when he lost his mother in a car accident at the tender age of two. This unfortunate event led him to move to Singapore with his Asian father, where he spent his early life and obtained an MTA certificate from the National University of Singapore.

His intellectual curiosity then took him to Oklahoma State University, where he earned an MBA, before moving to California to work in the construction industry. Here he earned his Certified Plant Engineer designation, completed his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, and earned both his B.S.C.E. and M.S.C.E. degrees. His intellectual journey culminated with his graduation from the Stanford Executive Program in 2009.

Axel Wilbur is widely recognised as the founder of Axel8 Construction & Management Company, which he established after a successful tenure as Managing Director of East Asia Engineering & Construction Pte. Ltd. His leadership and strategic planning skills have led to numerous successful projects, particularly in the oil sector. His commitment to client satisfaction has earned him several industry awards and recognitions.
