About Me

After graduating high school, I went directly into my Bachelor of Education program, knowing early on that teaching was the path I wanted to pursue. I’ve now been a certified K–12 teacher in Alberta for four years, with a specialization in secondary science. While I initially envisioned myself teaching high school students, my experiences in the classroom led me to discover a genuine passion for working with elementary learners; their curiosity, creativity, and energy inspired me. I recently moved to Ontario and am gradually learning the new education system, eager to grow and adapt as an educator. Outside the classroom, I’m passionate about running, hiking, playing tennis, interior design, and baking. These hobbies fuel my creativity and help me bring balance and joy into both my personal life and professional practice.

Six Words That Describe My Teaching:

Relational. Reflective. Responsive. Curious. Inclusive. Empowering.

Teaching Philosophy

I build my pedagogy around strong, authentic relationships with students. I believe meaningful learning begins with connection, and that students thrive in environments where they feel safe, valued, and understood. My teaching blends inclusive, and culturally responsive practices with engaging, inquiry-based learning. I aim to create classrooms that support growth, encourage voice and choice, and integrate technology ethically and purposefully.
