Freelance Journalist in India
Hello/Namaste/Salam – I gather facts and weave them into narratives that transcend boundaries of class, culture, and currency.
I am a journalist from India, having embarked on my career by reporting for both Bengali and English print outlets, as well as digital media, from my home district of Nadia, West Bengal. I spent some time covering the entertainment beat before transitioning to a Business Lifestyle Magazine, where I had the privilege of interviewing figures such as Sunny Leone in Kolkata, alongside other notable actors from the Tollywood and Bollywood industries.
During my three-year tenure at The CEO Magazine and its affiliated publications, I authored hundreds of stories centered on entrepreneurship, business, and leadership. My work includes profiling Fortune 500 CEOs and interviewing industry giants from organizations like KPMG, Thomson Reuters, Capgemini, Deloitte, and Microsoft. The corporate world provided a dynamic, thrilling space to explore, navigate, and uncover compelling stories.
I’ve reported exclusive and impactful foreign affairs stories for several English daily newspapers, digital outlets in addition to thinktanks like Hudson Institute, The Peninsula Foundation and Centre for Governance Studies, Dhaka.
With an in-depth understanding of the Social, Political and Ethnic issues of Bangladesh as well as Afghanistan, I’ve worked extensively on border-related projects with organizations like IUCN and ICRC, collaborating with the Calcutta Research Group and other stakeholders. My assignments have often taken me to some of the most challenging and notorious locations. My sources live in a diverse range of settings—from humble huts and havellis to the sleek interiors of BMWs.
Beyond print and digital media, I engage with think tanks, contributing to discussions on foreign policy, diplomacy, and geopolitics. I also ponder and reflect in my native tongue বাংলা (Bengali).
