I use to be one of those people who would recoil at quotes like, “Life is about the journey and not the destination.” Maybe some of you can relate. See, I am very much a goal-oriented person who is always looking for the next challenge to conquer so that I can move on to the next one. I would do everything I could to complete my goals in the shortest time possible.

However, over time I realized that my life was made up events, or destinations. I spent little time appreciating and learning from all the moments in-between. That’s when I knew I was missing the important parts of my life.

One day, I decided to change my mind-set, and I created my own personal vision statement: To live life well and for the glory of God. When I wrote this statement for my life, I left it slightly undefined for one purpose, which is to learn to enjoy the journey.

Since then, I have been able to enjoy and experience many things, and I am glad that joining Xango is a part of that journey. The values and purposes of Xango and Team LiveLifeLoud line up with my own goals and dreams for my future. It took me a while to be ready for an opportunity like this one, but now I am ready. I love what Mr. Magorium said, “Your life is an occasion. Rise to it.” And that’s what I am doing.
